Dear Citizens of the World

This boycott petition pledge is for all those who wish to see Ottawa become a truly Green City.
A healthy city where people children and pets can live in beautiful tranquil harmony with nature!

You seek to see all Pesticides (herbicides, insecticides, rodenticides, fungicides) banned in the
currently misguided heartlessly managed city of Ottawa! A ugly toxic city awash in pesticides,
where having sterile green lawns and showy lifeless flower gardens is more important than
having a healthy sustainable urban eco-system with happy dogs, cats, bees, and children.

On Nov 9, 2005 the hapless and utterly incompetent members of the Ottawa City Council failed
to keep their Dec 18, 2002 promise to implement a very strong and resolute pesticide bylaw.

A city where the new self-avowed Toxic Mayor of Ottawa Larry O'Brien once elected chose
not to drive the city provided brand new Toyota Prius! Instead he is now driving around in his
gas-guzzling gold Mercedes-Benz, with a taxpayer gas allowance covering all his gas expenses.
Ottawa also being the only city in Canada where you can idle your car or truck indefinitely!

He considers pesticides harmless: "Until I have seen clear medical evidence to the contrary,
I don't believe that there is a reason to ban pesticides. We've had this debate and lots of
misinformation has been put out," he said. He said he would be willing to re-introduce
"harmless" pesticides on public property, such as our green parks and sports fields.

He then cancelled the 'OC Transpo O-Train', and kissed goodbye to the $200 million
from the Province and the $200 million from the Feds. Ottawa now possibly faces
a billion dollar lawsuit from the irate company that was making the trains? Ottawa
is also cursed with the most inefficient lackadaisical recycling program of any city
in North America. Instead they are going to just plasma gasify it all "ecologically"!

A plasmatic millionaire mayor who's never composted or used public transport?

Then to add insult to injury the Royal Swans found themselves floating through the hot
summer months of 2006 in Swantánamo Bay, instead of being out on the beautiful Rideau
river with its cool shady shores draped with majestic weeping willows. They were confined
to these dungeons of slime because of non existent concerns about "rampant" bird flu!

Signing this petition I pledge to Never Buy anything produced, sold, and/or created
by a person living in Ottawa, or any community within the entire Ottawa area ever!

I also solemnly pledge to Never Visit Ottawa at any time! And if living in Ottawa will
actively encourage others not to visit, and will protest to City Hall every chance I get!

It is unfortunate that such a beautiful city should be managed by such ugly evil bureaucrats
and politicians! It is hoped through this petition that these pompous self serving dinosaurs
of the toxic past will be relegated to the nearest compost heap for wormy composting.
